The owner offers great value for money and has the right balance between Service. Quality and Price. He makes you feel extreemly welcome and serves the best toasted cheese and red onion sandwich and his double whisky price is excellent value. Well worth a visit.

Great find in Barrack Road stopped for lunch. Really warm welcome from Rob & enjoyed a really good quality coffee. The cheese & onion sourdough toastie was delicious!! Nice relaxed vibe good place to enjoy a meet up & alcohol licence for evenings. Good to support this local community place 👌🏻

I went to get my car MOT and saw Esca bar & café where I had a lovely cup of coffee and cannoli served by the delightful owner Rob. It’s a really nice chilled out setting for a friendly drink and snack or shared plate.

This was was a most welcome stop after a trip from Birmingham. The gentleman who served us was lovely and we enjoyed quite a conversation with him which makes a nice change from some of the places we've been. Will definitely be back.
